Terms of Service
Last updated 5 September 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are between you and Jay Jeong, a sole trader registered in Victoria, Australia (ABN 81 914 923 253), trading as Pawsby. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you don't, don't use the app.
You need to be at least 16 to use Pawsby, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
2. What you may do with the app
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run Pawsby on devices you control. The software and its artwork stay ours.
Please don't:
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the app
- reverse engineer it except where the law says you may
- pull out our API keys, or route your own traffic through our servers from outside the app
- strip out or work around the subscription checks
3. Plans and billing
The app is free to download, and the free plan includes three AI chats a day with no card and no account. A paid plan lifts that daily limit and adds web search, calendar reminders and sync.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | AI chats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $5 | $50 | 50 per day |
| Pro | $10 | $100 | Unlimited |
Prices are in US dollars. Payment is handled by Creem, which acts as merchant of record and takes care of applicable taxes; their terms also apply to the transaction.
A subscription is charged at the price shown at checkout and renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. If you apply a promotional code at checkout, the discount it describes applies for the period it states; after that, the normal price applies. Fair use limits apply: requests are rate limited, and Standard has a daily message cap that resets at midnight UTC.
4. Cancelling and refunds
Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep everything you paid for until the end of the current period — we don't cut you off the moment you cancel. After that the app falls back to the free plan and your local chat history stays where it is.
Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. The free plan exists so you can use the app and decide before paying anything, and cancelling always stops future charges.
Because Creem is the merchant of record for the transaction, refunds are processed by Creem and its own refund policy also applies — it may issue a refund in cases its policy covers, including where we fail to respond to a support request in time.
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are handled by that store under its own rules, not by us.
Billed twice, or charged after cancelling? Email support@pawsby.app and we'll sort it out.
5. AI answers
Your pet's replies are generated by a language model. They can be wrong, out of date, or confidently invented. Treat them as a companion talking, not as advice — don't rely on them for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions, and check anything that matters.
You own what you type. You're responsible for it, and for what you do with what comes back.
6. Using your own API key
Paid plans let you point the app at your own OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI or Groq key. When you do, requests go from your machine to that provider directly. You pay them, their terms and rate limits govern those requests, and our daily caps don't apply. Your key is encrypted on your device and never sent to us — which also means we can't recover it if you lose the device.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Pawsby to generate or pursue anything illegal, to harass anyone, to produce sexual content involving minors, to attack systems, or to attempt to break our rate limits and quotas. We may suspend accounts doing any of this.
8. Availability and changes
Pawsby depends on services we don't run — model providers, search, payments, hosting. It may be unavailable, and we don't promise uptime. We may change features, and we may swap the underlying AI model when a better or cheaper one appears; where a plan names a model, we'll update the site if that changes.
If we change prices, existing subscribers get notice by email before it takes effect and can cancel first.
9. Warranties and liability
Except for guarantees that can't legally be excluded, Pawsby is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost data, a meeting you missed because a reminder didn't fire. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or, where the Australian Consumer Law applies, resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Keep your own backups of anything you care about.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop any time: cancel the subscription, uninstall, and optionally erase your account at pawsby.app/delete-account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we have to stop offering the service — in which case we'll refund any period you've paid for but can't use.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes go to the courts of Victoria — without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
